Details, details, details.

I never could have imagined there would be so many details.

We are busy now trying to gather everything together to pack on our container. The shipment leaves the last week of July and the deadline is looming ever closer to have everything at the FTC Canada warehouse to be packed on skids ready to go. We still have to finish raising the funds to ship the container, a total of $6000 CDN. Speaking of shipping, check out the ambulance that was donated by the Region of Halton. What an amazing thing for Grant to be able to work in Haiti on a vehicle he worked on in Burlington!

We are also raising funds to ship the ambulance. Unfortunately, it would not fit on a container. That would have seriously cut down on the shipping cost because we could have put it on our container and packed our stuff in and around it. So we are working on alternative ways to get it to a port and drive it onto a ship going to Haiti. The cost is still to be determined but will be at least several thousand dollars. While we are busy packing up our house to move out on Aug 10th, we are having a garage sale/fundraiser on July 18th to get rid of some excess "stuff" and to raise money toward these goals. We need to raise about $4000 a month to fund our work in Haiti as well as shipping costs. For those who are nearby, we would love to see you at the garage sale.
